Anyway, up to you guys - you've been here a lot longer than me.

I'm playing all Bowie's albums back to back in the car and giving them a good analysing, and between these two, it's not too difficult for me.

Diamond Dogs has Rebel Rebel, 1984 and Big Brother, but apart from that I'm not too struck on it. Never liked the title track for instance.

Aladdin Sane is virtually a less-good continuation of 'Ziggy Stardust', but musch better than 'DDs' with Panic In Detroit, Cracked Actor, the beautiful Prettiest Star and great singles Jean Genie and Drive-In Saturday. Not to mention the mini-rock opera of Time.

So off goes Diamond Dogs for me.

Sorry to ramble on guys.
I think it's great and much more in the spirit of such survivor threads to give reasons. Discussion is always welcome and encouraged here.

I think Diamind Dogs is good, but few tracks really stand out to me. Some are almost meh.
My favourites are probably "Sweet Thing" and "1984".
Meanwhile Both Ziggy and AS are chock-full of stand-out numbers and no song is really boring or forgettable.

I think that all three DD , AS & ZSD&TSFM are at the top of the Bowie food chain along with STS . YA to me is one of those Bowie underachiers that never the less isn't all together terrible due Bowie undeniable ability. However it is the clear loser here, IMO.

Yeah I know ...I can't vote twice lol

Ziggy Stardust is next to go for me. There are some great tracks but some don't do much for me so that brought the average down for the album. Favourite tracks are probably Suffragette City, Moonage Daydream and Starman.

I've listened to Ziggy and AS again and I think I'll have to back up from my previously made statement. I like Ziggy a little bit more. Still a very hard choice for me. Both albums are amazing.

Listening to Aladdin Sane (the song). See if you guys can also spot the reference in there. Instant points in my book.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

In the lyrics or a musical reference?
I've been talking with a friend recently about how a part of the piano solo sounds like "Tequila", but I think it might be accidental.

Diamond Dogs for me.

Some really good songs, but beyond that, it's not very good.

@grindy To give a small hint: Trollheart would recognize the line, though also not from the original source. Let me know when you want me to just tell you.

Also, was you post above picking on Diamond Dogs also a vote against it? (I want to keep track too, just for kicks and giggles.)

Diamond Dogs

Aladdin Sane is the best of these albums. Hope it wins.

I don't know there's a quick nod to Neon Lights on Broadway but there's something else kind of familiar that I can't put my finger on.

Just tell me.
I voted out DD in an earlier post, so in a way, yeah. Although I wouldn't say I was picking on it, I quite like the album overall.
