Like both of these albums but Hunky Dory gets my ax between the two.

Didn't expect anyone else to vote this way.

I know that Hunky Dory has the big reputation but I honestly feel that TMWSTW is the better album of the two. Obviously, that's not the popular opinion.

I'm trying to be objective by giving tracks a star rating and grading albums on average rating. Hunky Dory came out marginally ahead (about 3 points). So I voted off TMWStW. Actually I've listened to that album way more than Hunky Dory so was kind of surprised it came out ahead.

Looks like The Man Who Sold the World is on its way out. 7-2 at the moment. I'll close voting in a few hours if that's ok with everyone and we can move on to round two...

OK, the surviving album from round one is
Hunky Dory
(Was there ever any doubt?)

Round two will not be so easy....

Round 2:
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972)
Aladdin Sane (1973)
Pin Ups (1973)
Diamond Dogs (1974)
Young Americans (1975)

Vote one off. Voting ends January 31.

My vote goes to Pin Ups without any hesitation.

Oh, and if a mod could please change the title to show we're now on round two. Thanks.

Pin-ups for me too, hardly anything on there that I like. Bit of a cash-in album tbh.

It may not be as big of an issue with a thread of this stature, but I always just PM'ed a mod to change the thread name. Goofle is my go-to, as he is always on this site and quick to respond.

Yeah, definitely Pin Ups. Not a bad album by any means, but not up to Bowie's usual genius.
