Damn straight.
Fun fact: Joey Baron, whom you might know as the drummer for Naked City, worked with Bowie on "Outside". (Although it's not really noticeable.)

David Bowie's body cremated in New York, say reports | Music | The Guardian

Strange if true. No friends or even family there?

I'm almost curious to listen in to my local rock station. They have never and would never have played a Bowie track in a million years, but considering the circumstances... if they still didn't then I would conduct a lifelong boycott. Regardless of the tastelessness of ignoring Bowie's death, the fact that you would continue to not play Bowie given this opportunity speaks of a lack of vision on this station's vision. If I were the DJ this would just be an excuse.

He didn't get a load of airplay here either, but my local stations are both honouring him regularly now. Although one of them did a "Top 5 Songs of 1969" countdown on January 11th and didn't include "Space Oddity." But they played it an hour later as their "Live Song of the Day."

He gets lots of airplay here and always has done depending on the station, but I haven't checked any of the radio stations to see what's been played since he died. I know 6 Music were playing a lot the day he died. I prefer talk radio to music radio though.

I would've thought he'd like to float in space after death. It's very fitting, and he gets to be a starman. I think it's a fitting memorial.

^ (we thought the same thing)

Im a little disappointed his remains weren't shot to space like Hunter S. Thompson, that would've been so fitting.
