It was Between Nothingness and Eternity that did it for me. His solo on Sister Andrea broke my jaw. No-one else was playing like that back then.

Solo starts at 1:30

I was at the Saturday show of this two day concert set. Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park, NYC. Several thousand people and when they started the concert you could have heard a pin drop. What a great show.

A buddy was at one of the two nights and told me it was so hot they were pouring buckets of water over Cobham to cool him off.

I would probably say either Nirvana or Kanye West. Nevermind was the first album I ever listened to regularly thanks to my father, and Graduation was the first CD I can remember actually purchasing on my own. I'm still not quite sure what it is that influenced my decision to buy it.

Anyway, Nirvana helped me gain an interest in alternative rock, and music in general, while Yeezy ended up getting me into a lot of hip-hop.

Thor Rumour Said Fire helps me a lot. When I'm down, their music helps me.

I'm gonna be a prick and say all the music I've ever heard. The music I like most I only like most because it's different from the music I don't like as much. Know what I mean? If I considered all music to be great then my favourites would cease to be my favourites. If everything was great then nothing would stand out. If everything was great then great would lose all value. In other words if everything was great nothing would be great. You get me? haha.

Yeah, I'm feeling philosophical today. Apologies. But that which we love depends on that which we don't. So I say again, all the music I've ever heard is my most important. Did you just call me a prick?

I've been taking most of my cues from these fellas lately:

I discovered The Beatles when I was 12, and from there The Doors. That spiraled me into the world of rock. But I would say Led Zeppelin really inspired me to play guitar.
