Marc Ribot: Bookmarked! Never heard of this guy before, but I dig it.

He has a vast discography, often as a session musician (for example on some of Tom Waits' best albums), but there's also a lot of stuff where his playing is really prominent like with John Zorn's Bar Kokhba, The Dreamers and several other projects. He also has solo albums and several bands he leads himself. |

Okay so it's tapping rather than 'shredding' but still. |
I think we all agree this little guy has talent AND feeling!

True passion for the creation. You can see it in the progress. You can easily see this - when an artist is phony or not. Style is developed. All that...

Talent is of course, a subjective quality. You can put measures to attempt and make it objective but all in all, one man's trash is another man's garbage for sure. I feel the makings of something good begins with how my limbs react, then how my mind processes it. If it can succeed in doing both of this greatly then I consider it good, and therefore the technicality around it could be considered talented. Some things take longer to get or care for, more abstract or thoughtful, so that is determined after careful listening and consideration and then reaching a subjective end conclusion based on its technicality and sound.
