Doubt that. Which of these is right: "We were two of a kind, me and my father" or, "We were two of a kind, my father and I?" I think you know the answer to that one.

Completely different context though. Think of it this way, if you removed 'The Devil' from either The Devil and I, or Me and The Devil, would it make sense to be left with 'I', or 'me'? The answer is me, not I. In this context it's 'him and me'. not 'he and I' which is the way you use I normally. That's why it works when there's an addition to the sentence, such as your example, because they're the subject: (The Devil [him] and I went to the park), but when it's solitary the The Devil and Gil Scott are objects, so you use me.

You sure you're not Batty in another guise? Doesn't matter anyway; I was only making a joke. I'm not really that interested in the ins and outs of grammar in music. After all, shouldn't it really be "You aren't anything but a hounddog?"

If you hadn't made the comment in the first place, I'd believe that!

Nice way to avoid admitting you were wrong.

I admit nothing.
Like I said, it was just a throwaway comment, not meant to engender a big grammar debate. Go fer yer ballpoint!

I missed this raid throughout the forum where these Christians were calling our music the Devils music...

I'm Christian. I find myself embarrased by the actions of fellow Christians most of the time. Sin all throughout the week, repent on the weekends, rinse repeat is what they seem to do. And I find that Christians in general have this awful habit of calling most music that isn't glorifying the lord, evil music or music of the Devil. Laughable really.

I got no music to post up. Just this little bit of rambling.

They didn't.
There were/are several members from a weird, apparently very violent chinese cult called Eastern Lightning here and they kept starting those god-related threads, so TH 'retaliated' with this one.

Ah. I see.

Violent? They'd probably piss their pants if they had a gun aimed at their face. Most of these terrorist groups are 'tough' until they meet a force that doesn't fear them. Then they're disarmed and wiped out. That's where ISIS is heading soon as they actually get here state side.

So how often do they post here though? I'd like to give these tough guy big shots hiding behind computer screens some grief. Because you know. Words hurt and everything.
