Childhood Classics
I imagine that most of us music nerds on MB had an early start to music and subsequently a few earbugs that we loved at the time. The idea for this thread is to pick an album that you loved as a kid (or had a single on it that you loved as a kid) and review it to see how it stands up after all of those years of developing your music taste.
Ideally, we'll just be doing albums, but if you want to do a more general artist review or a specific song that's fine as well. Insofar as defining "childhood", let's say that the cutoff age is 13 years old. I'd also prefer reviewing albums that you haven't heard in a long time as opposed to albums that you still throw on now that you discovered as a child. But if you want to do that, I don't give two ****s, or even one. I'll be posting up a review of a nu-metal album soon. We'll see if nostalgia takes the reins. |
I'm on a Motorhead kick for obvious reasons, but I'll do a review of Van Halen's OU812, as it pretty much defined the period before I started listening to music for real.

Might be a good reason to listen to some Beatles again.
