I put purple on my list so it could get some love. I've been listening to it all the time since it streamed last week so I felt justified in adding it to my list.

And as for having it done already, Jesus Christ. How quickly did you expect it up? At 00:02 this morning? Wanted to make it a pretty cool countdown with compiled reviews etc. I said that in the OP. I don't see how I can win, the recency effect's always going to lead to a contingent of people complaining that these lists are crooked because they can't include releases that come out in the last embers of the year. Yeah, I could keep pushing it back further and further but we had a thread where people were already happy to post their final year end lists so I assumed we were concluding the year was done. Was just trying to do something I hoped people would find interesting. |

My apologies, sorry. Edit: I like what you're doing here too, please don't stop on my account. I'll just keep quiet for a while.

Next time please just say hail Satan, manky. It's far less offensive than using my favourite protagonist as a curse word.

It's all good people, but the thing is how long does a record take to grow. I get Baroness have quite a following and yeah I could extend the deadline further but that also delays the thread results getting published and probably the interest of those who originally submitted. It's a shame the album dropped when it did but that's the nature of deadlines, you've got to have a cut off. I think some music publications moved D'Angelo's album to their 2015 lists even though it came out in late '14.
Do I keep the thread open to February so everyone has adequate time to digest December's releases. I dunno maybe people can draw conclusions on albums quicker than me but I like to take my time with releases. Maybe I don't speak for all. Anyway, if all goes well I hope to have the list started by Wednesday. P.s. I thought Jesus was all around, no? |

What the hell is that? I've looked at it several times and can't make it out! A foot sticking up and someone doing something to it? I need glasses. Oh, wait...
Manky, **** the naysayers. I think you're doing a great job, and something like this can't be rushed. After all, you mentioned that you might have to listen to/short review some albums, so take your time. I would suggest, if you want, a shortlist of albums that didn't make the cut, perhaps too late to the party kind of thing. If you want. But yeah, there's no way you can keep everyone happy so just do what you're doing. It is appreciated. Oh, and my preferred curse is Hail Santa...
