You self admit you've barely heard anything from this year and then go on to say it was brutal? Sounds like a well founded and well researched opinion

I have a huge list of favorites but as far as non-metal "General" music goes.

1. Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss
2. UFO - Conspiracy of Stars
3.Faith No More - Sol Invictus
4. Anekdoten - Until All The Ghost Are Gone

I'm with Norg, I think this has been the weakest year of the decade thus far

At least you've somewhat researched the topic before voicing your opinion rather than choosing to and admitting to being ignorant

Can't lay claim to having listened to as many records as I usually would. Looking for recs - not pitchforkcore. There's not much that's piqued my interest this year.

but here's most of what I've listened to

A pretty big chunk of your top 10 were featured BNM albums on Pitchfork lol

Just listened to your Number 1 for the first time earlier today. Quite a unique sound but I think it loses it's novelty around half way through. When I first started playing the record I was like 'woah, what's this then?' but I think by coming in with full intensity it sorta burns itself out.

The gospel/bluesy/post punk mix is quite interesting and it shall require further evaluation to get a proper read of it tho.

Probably gonna check out new Death Grips and Low by years end.

even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I'm gonna guess you're referring to 7, 5 and 3?
