Best Newer Band out there?
 

What are some of the good new bands? I don't listen to that many newer bands anymore. Lately Ive been listening to The Icarus Line and Interpol. Any suggestions , any genre it dont matter

i wouldnt say the white stripes are really new...they are good though.

I guess, but they're new enough.

i dont mean to nitpick but they've actually been around for a good few years. theyve been through 5 albums as well.
however thats not the point of this thread, so sorry for going on lol, but im something of a fan you see!

The Magic Numbers, Modest Mouse, Editors, The Young Knives, The Walk Off (not quite the same when you're not tripping out on acid, but whatever), Do Me Bad Things, yourcodenameis : milo, Sikth, Sexy Breakfast, The Raveonettes, Clor and you know, why not give Harlette a go while you're at it?

Whatever, I consider band new if they formed after '95 or so.

I am extremely excited for anything that will come from Islands... they used to be 2/3 of the Unicorns, and that's good enough for me.

people are commenting about white stripes not being new but no one said a thing about modest mouse. theyre first album was 10 years ago. i love them nonetheless. anyway i consider any band that's still in their prime to be new. and by "prime" i mean still releasing their best albums atleast so far. oh how is bloc party? there seems to be a big commotion being caused by them
