Any headbanging emoticon that doesn't involve the devil horns will be unsatisfactory.

Could we get a monkey riding on a tricycle, too? These things are important.

Artist: Westlife
Album: Coast to Coast Genre: Boyband Pop Year: 2001? Recced by: Trollheart Alright, I'm not gonna lie. I only listened to the first two tracks on this and the first half of the third. The reason? I get the picture. It's ALL BALLADS. I get strong southern gospel feels off of it too, so that didn't help. Basically, here's every track's structure. Starts off with some piano, then the vocals come in, go on in a very familiar southern gospel mixed with early 2000's pop sounding style, then rise in intensity until a key change near the end. Then it slowly goes back down and the track ends. The next one starts and it's exaxtly the same thing. The lyrics are about some girl or something idk. Anyways, I'll give this a 1/10 and a torture rating of 80%. Edit: Also, it was more than an hour long. No way am I doing that. I'll listen to Koichi Makigami exclusively for the rest of my life before I hear this album front to back. |

Going to attempt getting both my recs listened to and scored this weekend. Key word is attempt. TH knows what's been delaying my submissions. So hopefully this comes to fulfillment and I can get some more recs as well.

Just got around to this now. I'll give you a 100% on it, as I pretty much hated it and was just waiting for it to finish almost as soon as it started.
I looked for it first on youtube, and mistakenly started listening to Gradually Projection first (I ended up having to download Mass Projection later). Gradually Projection had aspects that I liked--especially Abe's playing from a perspective of technique. I would have given you a 60% on that, probably. I didn't care for Abe's playing so much on Mass Projection, however. (And I didn't care for Takayanagi's playing on either release.) The compositions didn't appeal to me on either release, again less so on Mass Projection, and the recording quality on Mass Projection was annoying, too. So good job for the purposes of this thread. ;-) |
