Nice one, Goof! In all honesty though, if anyone ever truly manages to torture you they'll probably be crowned emperor of the forum!
Sounds like it would torture me though. Mind you, I'm about to experience powerviolence, so maybe some prayers?

Sorry Batty, I'll get to yours but this was recced first, so...
Title: Pervertor Artiste: Lord Mantis Genre: Blackened Sludge Metal Evil Bastard: Isbjorn Might have thought on the face of it this would be more something Batty would have thrown at me, but there you go. Sounds like a train approaching then it all goes to hell on a big chaotic frenetic guitar and drum assault. Lord knows what the vocal is going to be like! Ah, your standard black metal gentleman. I see. Wonder who this white rat is he's singing about is? Anything to do with the Black Death? Hmm. Some pretty nice riffing here, kind of a doomy feel to it (guess that would be the sludge, with the more aggressive guitar and percussion lending it its “blackened” part). Hey, I've heard far worse. Just a matter of interest: why is the album Pervertor (with an “o”) and the first track called “Perverter of the will” (with an “e”)? The vocal goes from screechy scream to dark growl, and there's a superb little solo right there at the end. Okay. More doomy for the second track, “Septichrist” (you have to admire their inventiveness --- how many more ways can Christ's name be twisted into an abomination of itself?) The guitar here is much more grinding, more like a slow heavy motor to the fast jackhammer of the opener. “Vile divinity” has a real sense of a warrior thing about it, very dramatic with really biting guitars and pitiless drums, and a great riff taking the song now. Oddly, though I'm mostly laughing at this, one line in the lyric made me feel really weird and uneasy: “Maggots writhing under the weight of misery”. Don't know why; I've read much much worse, but that line just struck some sort of dark chord in me for some reason. Oh, I like the word “technochaotic”, that's cool. Must say, I really like this track. Ending is badass. **** it, this one is even better! I love this! Talk about epic to the max! That guitar riff is so dramatic. And there's a real dark, smouldering energy to the whole thing, even the vocal. Best so far. “Ritual killer” is pretty damn fine too. Nine minutes long and it never drags. That thumping guitar riff in the sixth minute is to die for (sorry). “At the mouth” sounds more black metal to me, but still pretty good. Another long one to close, but I must say it's starting off well with yet another killer riff that just gets inside your head and kicks the crap out of it, breaks all the windows, ****s on the floor and refuses to be evicted when the bailiffs come. Superb. Even the screechy vocal is kind of growing on me now. Ooh, like when it stops for a moment and Lord wotsit just growls out at you, then the guitar kicks back in and we're off again. And still six minutes to go. Another incredible guitar solo to end. Excellent. Sorry Isbj, but you obviously haven't been following my metal education through three Metal Months now, otherwise you would have known this was never going to come close to torturing me. Still, I do have to face powerviolence next! So, you know, HSE... As for this, Torture Level total 0%. Really enjoyed it.

I mean, the dude switches from singing, growling and rapping with a complete disregard for the listener. It's just hilarious. WHAT IS THIS ALBUM? So dumb man. What are the "skits" about? Also he's fucking everyone apparently. Torture rating? Well, I didn't feel the need to skip any of the tracks. I just found myself thinking this was terrible music. So I'd have to say 5%.

Do you think you could change our emoticons? The previous owners refused.

This site is desperately in need of a headbanging emoticon. The current equivalent is just embarrassing...
