Earbits. Better for musicians than Spotify, Pandora?
Wanted to throw this out there for artists looking to get their music heard as well as the music connoisseur hunting for new jams.
I just found out about Earbits through my girlfriend (she's already on Spotify and was turned down by Pandora). After waiting 2 days she was accepted by Earbits and has received 80 spins in about three hours; zero dollars invested. If that metric holds, it will be the most effective third party site that she's found for reaching new fans. They also have a quid pro quo deal where, if she posts their link on her website, they'll post hers on their FB page which has 60.000 fans. Descent exposure for an independent. As a listener, the music on the site is quite good. I haven't listened to much but, what I have heard is solid. If you're looking for new stuff I would recommend it as a place to look. And! check out some of their Tweets for a good laugh. They're trolling Spotify and Pandora pretty hard. If you're a musician or listener who's used it, please chime in as I want to know the good, the bad and the ugly.. |
