Apple Music
I'm giving it a try after watching theneedledrop's latest video. He made a point to state that the curated/automated playlists are actually pretty good, compared to Spotify (something I have also noticed), and may actually be more esoteric than you would expect.
The iTunes app on my computer instantly connects to last.fm when I'm streaming which is a plus, and the scrobbler app on my phone still works if I go into it after selecting which album/playlist to listen to via the iTunes app. The first three months are free (and I've turned automatic renewal off) so I guess that's plenty of time for me to get used to it, and make my own decision. So far, It's definitely going to make a strong case - and looks a much better option than Spotify imo.

Well so does Spotify. I just wanted to tell you about that album.
I'll consider this though, is the paid subscription worth it compared to my $5 Spotify bill? EDIT: well I have to update the os on my phone to get the app so that option's out.

Does anyone else have the problem with apple music that most of the artwork is missing?
Also, I'm not a big fan of streaming music, but we must follow with the direction the music business has changed. Streaming has been accepted as the normal way we listen to music, even taking over downloading. As B.B. King once said, "You either change with the times or find yourself looking into an empty audience". Much can be said about streaming music. |

I've spent so much time making playlists and getting to know Spotify I've become invested in it. I used to love Last.FM but then it stopped working on my phone. I don't share on Spotify nor do I ever listen to anyone else's playlists.

Agreed. One option that I really love about Spotify is the discover section. Found a lot of great music that way.

Because it's Apple, I wouldn't use this service if a free subscription included a dozen free cookies every day.
