Can I do powerslave?

I've heard all of their albums before it, and I just mentioned I haven't heard it in another thread so it seems like my destiny to review it.

Well nobody has voiced any opposition so I'm going to postpone this. I was thinking the end of the month, but then we miss the Monday, with it being on Aug 31. Then I thought, their new album is out Sept 4, so that's only a few days past that deadline, so why not wait till then?

Therefore the starting date will be Monday September 7. All of the albums I marked are still up for grabs if anyone wants, but I'm gonna snag the new one. Looking forward to that.

Well, Maiden, it was good knowing you. We had plenty of great years together, but it sounds like I'm going to have to start ignoring your releases.

My God. It's as if all the heart has been ripped from my favourite band and left behind a shell. Jesus! And that video! Could they have made a worse one?? This had better be the weakest track on the album, or we're gonna have problems guys. Seriously disappointed.

It sounds like modern Judas Priest...

only combined with Metallica's ****ing Load and an aging Joey Belladonna on vocals. 3/5. 1/5 for the video.

It sounds tired. There's no energy in it. It might be all right if it was the single for some other metal band, but I expect more from Maiden. Remember the excitement of hearing "The Trooper"? "Number of the Beast"? "The Wicker Man"? I just don't get that from this song. And as I say, the video is beyond terrible. What are we: twelve?
I'll reserve judgement until the album hits, but I hope this isn't the shape of things to come...
