Don't like the song at all, but ay, you can't get much more direct.

Edit: Totally just realized it said city, and Nova Scotia is a province, but oh well.

The Go-Betweens formed in Brisbane, and its widely-believed that this song with its mentions of travelling on the river under the bridge (Brisbane River, Story Bridge), and other - albeit vague - references, is about Brisbane.
So much does the city revere the band - and perhaps song, despite one line mentioning its 'is full of battered wives' - one of the traffic bridges that cross the Brisbane River was named after them by popular vote - The Go-Between Bridge (though, to be fair, anything sounded better than The Hale Street Link).

I actually can't eat very much avocado because it makes my bitch tummy feel yucky.

But the rain man... it's all about the rain.

In and Out is pretty good too.

I like In-N-Out, but the only thing I really jack off to on that list is the rain.

This city is literally full of fake people trying way to hard or just trying to get what they can out of you. That's the real New York for you. I originally tried to find a song along the lines of "Fake people that all act the same and have no idea there's a world outside of the tiny city they live in" but, couldn't really find anything. Besides. C'mon it's TLC. Get some soul in your life.
