You'd want to be a bit more specific: gothic metal? Gothic country? Gothic on its own is not a genre...

I am just new to this. Newly introduced to it. All Gothic genres are new to me, but the songs I listened to recently are country.

Gothic country is a thing? That sounds so bizarre to me, and that strawfoot song is aight but I don't get the feeling of what I consider goth from it.

Goof can explain. It's more kind of "dark" Country, like, not your average I-love-America-barn-burned-down-you're-my-sweetie-huntin-fishin-shootin sort of thing. It takes another angle, I think it's also called Alt Country and Dark Americana...

I first thought of stuff like early Cocteau Twins or This Mortal Coil..."gothic rock" which is kind of like a dark, brooding ethereal type of guitar-based sound. Which is a sound I definitely dig
