Shoot, it's been a year. How's your music taste changed since?
Yeah, it's been a year since I've signed up so it's a good time to reflect back on what has influenced me over that course.
As far as it goes for me. Nothing too out of the ordinary. There's nothing I listen to now that'd catch the 2014 version of me off guard. Basically, I've expanded on what I already listen to with a few musical tangents but relatively the same within the rock and metal category. I did catch myself liking a few ambient soundtracks that gave me a pleasant calm feeling which I'm not used to, but nicely contrasts with what I usually listen to. I have a feeling I might want to start chasing that on this second half of 2015. |
This is better than anything you've been listening to. Straight up.

STFU about Kesha Batty: no-one cares about your new pop obsesssion!
I would have to say that, due to the usage of the "Love or Hate?" thread, I have listened to artistes and genres I would never have expected to, so from that point of view my musical tastes, or at least what I can now appreciate, have been very much widened. Witness my sudden interest in Frank Ocean, Woodkid, Camera Obscura and Chromatics, none of whom I knew anything about a few weeks ago. |

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...evil-homer.gif also, I don't care because you're boring me by constantly pushing her. I coulkd check her out but you'd just invalidate my opinion by saying "what the **** did you expect man? It's pop music!" So I won't. But it's getting tiresome seeing you bringing her into every argument and thread nearly. |

There was this one Simpsons episode where a Kesha song played instead of the usual intro.
I literally almost threw up. I'm mostly apathetic to even the worst pop, but this was just...felt like sticking my ear up a dead hooker's diseased asshole. |
Thats hardcore.

And I don't think anybody thinks I'm cool for listening to Ke$ha. |

I guess I'm way more into ambient music than I was before and I have more appreciation for sound design and textures than I did a year ago.
|
Well, now that Ke$ha has been brought up.
Nope me no like. Didn't like her when she was new and sure as hell don't like her now that she's old news. I'm not judging you if you liking her though. If you like something, then keep liking it before you forget how to like it. |
It's about wanting to sex her, not about the music.
|
This past year I feel like I finally fully embraced Disco and Europop. I expanded my interest in Powerviolence, early British Hardcore, and 70s R&B. And I began to explore NWBHM, Trival, and modern Cumbia for the first time.

well I for one dig kesha. nothing but the dfloor. batlord liking kesha is maybe his only redeeming quality
in terms of what ive listened to over the past year.. idk if anythings really changed much. lots of drone and ambient. maybe a little less metal (black mostly) than usual but still a good amount id say. could also be tht ive slowed new music listening this past year just out of real world stuff. |
