Also, I am electing not to have people submit reviews/thoughts in order. I will simply link the reviews in the OP.

Omg never heard of it but I googled it and found Anthony Fantano's review of it and the genres he referenced it as alternative r&b, glitch&b, experimental pop, and psychedelic pop. That's totally up my alley thank youuuu

I would like to hear something along the lines of Tuvan throat singing meets drone doom metal.

x1500

Have you heard Old Time Relijun though? They play more along the lines of post punk and garage rock, but Arrington de Dionsyo incorporates some kargyraa in there and it ****ing rules.

Black Rainbows - Supermothafuzzalicious!! (2011)

1. Burn Your Nation
The singer reminds me of Alice Cooper and there are some moments where he crosses over into some Cheech and Chong style Earache My Eye-ish vibes. Good stuff.

2. Behind The Line
A blatant Rat Bat Blue rip with a twist on this one. Good energy, but I just can't help but think of Cheech singing here too.

3. Mastermind
Some punk vibes on this one, and some psychedelic elements with the flanged out synth and space noises. They really take this one and run with it. Good break down at 3:45. Nice use of octaves.

4. Feel The Beat
Right off I feel a bit of a Clutch thing happening, then it gets all Kyuss on itself. Rocking to this one. Would be a killer song to hear live, and it's my favorite so far. Love that little minor chord change in the bridge. Very subtle, but it works well. Guitar isn't too complicated so far, but it works.

5. Solar System
Another rocker here. There's Cheech again... He's solid, but to me his voice is a bit too nasally. It does however add a sinister quality to the mix. Kind of like a "Warriors... come out and playayayyyy" vibe to it. Just my first impression though.

6. Lady
Stop/start then bolt out on this one. Started out good, it's getting a bit tedious now though. 6:45 is a bit long, but they seem to be enjoying themselves.

7. Mother of the Sun
More of the same on this one. Up until now, I had been alone in my listening environment at work, but I am now joined by one of the salesmen here. He's an older fella, and is now giving me looks. It's not the first time I've cranked up some stoner rock around here, so he's just gonna have to suck it up... well whadaya know... he's made some lame excuse to head right back out.

8. Brain Circle
Heavy blues influence on the opening riff here. The tunes are blending together. Pretty much variations on the same theme.

9. I Love Rock 'N Roll
The cheese factor is high on this one, but then again the musicians probably are too. Slight shades of Zappa in some of this.

10. Cosmic Flowers
Tired blues infused riff into some wah-wah licks, aaaaand fade. That's one way to close out an album.

The Goofle Hit/Miss Factor: 2.5/5

Final thoughts: It started out with promise, but with each song taking the same sonic elements, and just redistributing them into different shapes, it got a bit tiresome to listen to. Nothing really stood out for me, but I could see myself checking into their later albums to see what they've evolved into.

I can't believe no one has done this.
