I like how all the entries were clearly done by young people (i.e. the people who decide what is and what is not dad rock), except for that one entry which was clearly done by either a bitter dad rocker, or a mindless classic rock drone who lets the opinions of Rolling Stone magazine take the place of his own.

I pretty much try to play music from all decades but will of course default to a 70s tune now and then. But I mix in a lot of newer songs. Based on all of this it seems that: Dad Rock = Stuff I don't like or is too popular, and therefore I must discount it. And lots of avant-garde stuff from my "era".
