I'm still struggling here. I like Cat Stevens a lot, but I really don't like misogyny - seriously, "Wild World" is gross. At the same time, I think it is a pretty influential album. I'm leaning towards yes but I'm not going to vote either way yet.

I've always interpreted that song as being father to daughter, which makes it less gross. I have no idea if that's how Stevens meant it, though.

Like I said, he has this image of her as a child who's unable to take care of herself. That's kind of awful. Still a really good album though. |
