As was I. Being belligerently drunk is awesome. I'm not a big enough douche to claim I don't mean what I say under the influence (usually), but I do enjoy the removal of the filter.

Also, conversely to Jesus, I can turn alcoholic beverages non-alcoholic, which, if I'm in honest, has little call to be used.

Album: For Now
Artist: Daydream Society
Genre: Electronic/Ambient
Suggested by: YorkeDaddy
Familiarity: None.

1. Encapsulate
- I warmed up for this with some good ol' Squarepusher. Just mentioning it. So far, it's what I would expect from an ambient album. Hopefully this is just a warm-up.

2. Beneath Me is Nothing But Brightness
- Synth strings, and then some sort of woodwind thing. This really needs some beats! Still, it's enjoyable enough with what it has.

3. After Everyone Leaves
- More ambience. Not really meant to be listened to in this manner. Just more dron-y stuff. Meh, just sort of whatever.

4. Outer Wave
- I enjoy this a bit more, mixing in some guitar stuff with tremolo. Cool.

5. Floating In the In-Between
- Another drone song, until the guitar comes in towards the end. Just a repetitive melody, but still much more interesting than droning on and on. Still waiting for some percussion.

6. Seperation - More drones. Not tired of them yet.

7. Mornings Dissipate In Somnolence
- More drones, still have a solemn grace to them.

8. The Bell Jar
- This one's got more of a beat than any of the other ones. Honestly a bit Vaporwave-y. Eventually the synth bits dissipate, and it drones on for a bit. I really genuinely loved this one.

9. Penultimate - Now this one really feels like Stars of the Lid. Again, more droning. Eh, it's starting to become less enjoyable.

10. Does It End Like I Want It To? - More droning. A bit catchier than the last one. Very abrupt ending. Alrighty then.

This album is drone music, not much else to say. Definitely not meant to be really focused on, just background music. Good background music, but nothing more. It's sort of hard to judge this stuff. It kept me entertained for the most part, and there were some songs that diverted from the formula by adding an extra element. Just some good drone.

OVERALL RATING: 7/10

"Definitely not meant to be really focused on" is a factually incorrect statement lol, but thanks for the review nevertheless
