I think my favourite drummer may be Proscriptor McGovern from the Blackened Thrash/"Mythological Occult" Metal band Absu.
He may not be the very most technically proficient drummer (though he's pretty high up there,) but his passion for the music which often shows through his charisma/entertaining live attitude while playing, plus the effort he puts into having his drum patterns be interesting and every now and then quite atypical keeps things fresh and interesting while watching/listening to him play. That he also often sings/screams while playing is an added bonus, and he has an apparently deep knowledge of various mythologies, so that always keeps the lyrical stuff interesting.
