Checking out the demo put out by Tristan which can be found here: https://generaldisregard.bandcamp.co...dier-2016-demo It's extremely short so I figured why the hell not? Immediately you can tell this is a definitely a lo-fi type of act but there's definitely some charm to be found there. First track Uncle Charlie is a really crunchy little punk song with a simple power chord guitar riff and some unintelligible vocals. Really cool outro to it though, how did you make those sounds? Second track Train Hopping is a much bluesier affair and less of an assault on the ears. Cool little tune but very musically simple. Next track Gorgasm is back to the louder punk feel. Not quite as big on this one, the drums are way too loud in the mix. Around the 1 minute mark things get more interesting though, I dig this sound more. Fun drum start to White People! A fine 40 seconds. I think a whole bunch songs have started identically to Amphetamine so it leaves me a little unimpressed to be honest. Lol @ "Tristan likes some really ****ty bands" with a harmonica in the background. Funny stuff. My favorite track. Overall I'd definitely listen to a full album of this if you released one and tried to be a little more creative with the songwriting. Thumbs up homie

I'll listen to the Daydream Society I haven't heard yet eventually to review it. Edit: Also it's a shame the lyrics we're so unintelligible on Uncle Charlie, I loved those lyrics. It was a story about Charles Manson kidnapping a boy on New Years Eve, full of fun little family references. I'll append the full lyrics on the page later.

Alright pretty drunk right now but I'm gonna try and get this out of the way
DANK ASS REVIEW OF BLAZED FOREVER BY MONDO Okay so I didn't really have any idea what to expect going into this because of Mondo's typically grandiose description of his album which apparently spans like thirty different genres and one of the descriptors was "WWE" which confused me. Anyway so I'm walking to my finals and I listened to this on the way. I'm not going to go over every individual track since there's a lot of thematic overlap. One thing I'll say about this album is that it's VERY fun to listen to. You're not going to be going on some dark, spooky adventure through a snowy forest into the realm of a demon or something like in some of his other albums, instead on this one it's kind of like you're watching a WWE event while tripping on acid. The first track is actually one of my favorites, starting off with some seriously dank electronic dance stuff that's really in-your-face. The WWE element is introduced here and is used consistently throughout the album. I have no interest in wrestling whatsoever but the usage of the sounds from WWE events is extremely clever and gives the album some unique character which I love. There are some other talking samples used throughout which are typically kind of funny, which is a nice change of pace from the type of music I've been listening to lately. As the album progresses we move a little from the dance type music to some video gamey sounds which is neat, but I think a change of pace would have been nice early on in the album. Things don't slow down much until track 6, which is kind of a boring one for me. But it's still pretty good in the context of the album and what we've gone through so far. Metropolis is a really sick track. I think throughout the entire course of the album there's a little too many tracks that follow the formula of: WWE sample (or some other kind at times), fast-paced electronic type riff, heavy drums, and then it just kind of ends without going anywhere else. This gimmick works extremely well the first few times but wears on me a bit once I've experienced it like 9 times. We reach the second half which kicks off with the best track on the album in my opinion "My Knee Still Hurts". Absolutely killer set-up and atmosphere. Just a touch long and repetitive but I love the theme so much that it doesn't matter too much. Nice and funky and almost kind of sultry sounding. Wonderful piece there. Hell in a Cell kind of returns to that formula which by now is still entertaining but not really working as well anymore since the surprise factor is kind of gone. Like okay, I get it, you have a bunch of WWE sound clips and they sound pretty cool with fast electronic music behind it. There's some moments of really neat stuff in the next few tracks but nothing that blows me away. This Beat Isn't Mine definitely could have been shorter. "Nihilism is Pointless" kind of changes the mood a bit which I like. I love the sample in "Blast It", I honestly thought it was kind of hilarious. The track beyond the first minute doesn't do a whole lot for me though. The final song was actually one of my least favorites, I'm not sure what the point was but it felt anticlimactic, when I saw the title I thought it was going to be a bit more fulfilling of a payoff. As a whole I thought the concept was great and there are some brilliant moments throughout but also some rehashed gimmicks that grow old after a while and some tracks that just don't really need to be here. I'd probably give this between a 7 and an 8 out of 10, leaning closer to an 8. Sorry if this review was kinda ramble-y, like I alluded to earlier vodka is a powerful thing
