Default Bass Effect Pedals

I'm starting to shop around for my own and am interested in which bands utilize bass effect pedals. I know Tool and Joy Division use/d them, and the obvious track as an example is Come As You Are, but what else am I forgetting? A lot of people use an overdrive on their bass as far as I can tell, but I'm searching more for notable uses of effecty bass effects.

I think Simon Gallup (The Cure) used a lot of them, mostly chorus/phasers if I recall right. Always thought they sounded super cool.

The dude from A Place to Bury Strangers does too, I think he builds his own. I remember seeing a website and the pedals that bands uses are like 400$ lmao. IDK, it seems like bass guitar effects are mostly associated with genres stemming from post-punk.
