Classic Rock Presents Prog & others
Lately I am a bit confused about Classic Rock Presents Prog Magazine, I thought the current top prog artists i.e. on P.A. would at least be mentioned on there but so far what they publish is not even necessary prog related. They constantly add famous made bands on their magazine issues/articles (by this I do not mean the mag cover) however in terms of current popularity or having a voice in regards to prog bands or helping by spreading the word for those they think have great potential, their support is zero. As anyone had a good positive experience with them? I honestly don't think they are deserving of the name prog.

The problem with CRpP I find is that they seem to want to describe EVERYTHING as prog! I mean, they had a feature on Yello recently. ****ing Yello? They're no more prog than Westlife are! I mean, they're a decent electronic band but I wold not call them prog.
Then there's their propensity for what I can only describe as off-topic crap. I actually wrote a letter to them (yeah I'm that sad, but it got published) giving out about how they spent one full feature talking about how Nick Mason likes to collect classic cars. Really, who gives a ****? Do we buy CRpP to read about cars? I certainly don't. Sometimes they just deviate a little too far, and you would almost think they were trying to fill up space. Which is odd, considering how many great bands they never feature...

Ah it's a decent mag but I find I buy it, put it to one side and rarely if ever read it. I don't subscribe but when I see it if I'm out and about I usually buy it. They do have some god articles: the one by Marillion about their involvement in the prog concert cruise was very good.

Maybe Dave Gilmour was busy that day.
They probably have a Pink Floyd quota to fill every month.
