Dude, I've been exposed to the "real stuff", and it's not any better than anything Nine Inch Nails comes out with. I sort of get the feeling that you just think anything that's mainstream sucks.

I like NIN, but yeah, they're industrial for people who think that adding rock elements to what they think of as techno = industrial.
