It's slightly easier listening as an album, pretty smooth, and Nuclear War is such a tune so I want him to listen to it for that reason alone.

Okay, you guys may not have noticed, or you may, but I've been less interested in this thread over the last few days. It's become less like fun and more like work, so once again I've overstretched myself. Time to cool it for a while.

After listening to almost 150 albums I think I've earned a break, so I'm taking one. The thread will remain open and active as you want it to be, I'll continue to take recs and respond to posts. The only difference is that there will be NO more reviews for a little while, as I endeavour to lift this once again self-imposed pressure off myself.

To be honest, when I floated this idea I had no idea it would catch on and be so popular, and I'm grateful for your interest and input, but if I keep on like I am at the moment my own enthusiasm is going to continue to decrease and I'm going to end up hating this. The last few albums have been reviewed almost with a glazed expression by me --- you can probably tell from the reviews --- and I really can muster little or any enthusiasm for reviewing more. It's therefore unfair to those who bothered to suggest albums, to the rest of you and to myself to continue like this.

I can't say how long I'll take off; I may review albums without posting them, to relieve some of the pressure on me, or I may not. But keep reccing and I'll keep adding them. Just don't expect to see reviews any time soon.

Apologies to those who have been waiting for their albums to be dealt with, but I feel this is the point at which I have to take a break, or else things will just get worse.

Hope you all understand.
Thanks
TH

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I'm actually amazed you went that long.
Writing reviews is hard as it is, but having to force oneself through albums one clearly hates from the start is the really hard thing imo. I could never do that with more than two-three albums.

Ah no it's fun for sure, but like they say, when it stops being fun, stop. At least for a while. I did this a good while back with the entire forum, found it was becoming a chore to do what I did instead of being fun. When you get to that stage, where it's like work rather than play, you need to step back, which is what I'm doing.

I'm just waiting now for Batty's "Pussy! I knew you'd quit!" post...
