![]() ![]() Title: Junk of the heart Artiste: The Kooks Genre: Indie Familiarity: Zero Track 1(Love) Good opener, nice melody. Reminds me a bit of The Cars at times. Track 2(Love) Yeah, I like this one too. Track 3(Love) Very Tears For Fears with a kind of darkish feel Track 4(Love) Yes, this is very nice. Mandolin and some sort of buzzy organ or something, nice acoustic guitar. Track 5 Didn't think much of that really Track 6(Love) Think this may make up for it though: beautiful violin and cello opening; beautiful ballad, unfortunately quite short. Track 7(Love) Yeah that one was good, nothing terribly great but not bad Track 8(Love) This is quite fun; lots of energy in it. Reminds me of Prefab again. Track 9(Love) Oh I really like this. Why does this sound familiar? Track 10(Love) This is lovely and laidback, another acoustic with sublime vocal harmonies. Track 11(Love) Very jaunty, very pleasant. Organ is cool. Track 12(Love) Kind of a Billy Joel feel about this, love the piano. End result: Again I had no idea what to expect, but it was really an enjoyable experience. It helped that most of the tracks were short, which made it easier to listen to. Not that all albums need to be like that of course, but at least it wasn't Sunn O)))! ![]() So, Love or Hate? Love for this one.
