I haven't used this as a reverse rec thread before, but it just occurred to me to ask particularly Chula and Plankton, being guitarists, if you've ever heard this man? And if not, I highly recommend one of our favourite sons. Also to anyone else who plays or is interested in guitar rock/blues performed with no frills, synths, effects or gadgets.

All essential listening...

But if you're that serious about the rule, I guess so be it.
I am serious about that rule. It's even enshrined in the new rules in the OP.

I became aware of Rory way back in the 70s. Guy was great.

I've heard quite enough Zappa thank you. Try something else. Also, let someone else get a rec in. You always tend to do this, throwing three or four albums at me during the submission period. I may start restricting you guys to one album per cycle. I need to hear from other people.
