I told you: I used to exist in a self-contained musical bubble, and even after coming here it was months before I poked my head outside my journal cave to join you all. Even after THAT, it's taken a lot for me to put my own musical prejudices aside and try new stuff. TFL are a band I had heard of, but didn't like the name and had no reason to try them out. I've missed a lot of good music.

You could probably name fifty bands and I would not have heard, nor perhaps even heard of at least forty of them.

When your recs are back open in this thread I'm gonna give you some more Lips recs because almost everything they've done is great to worth hearing.
