Oh I'm already a big fan, I just like Batty's line "lounge blues for the insane."

It's to Ribot and also that I need to listen to that album. I have it cued on YT, just need to take some time off from this thread and my journals now to get a chance to listen to it.

I don't know Ribot (how cool that you can mechanise him though by changing one letter?)

but I do realise that he plays some of the best guitar work on some of the really classic Waits albums. And of course, circle jerk away: had I the time and opportunity I'd probably listen to Waits all day, every day.

His work with Waits is great, but I'm sure you'll be stunned to find out that I like Ribot's jazz and work with John Zorn the best. Nobody has phrasing quite like Ribot, it's what makes him my favourite guitarist tbh.
