![]() ![]() Title: Kill the moonlight Artiste: Spoon Genre: Indie Familiarity: Zero Track 1(Love) Nice jangly guitar and organ opening, uptempo, very catchy Track 2(Love) Also very catchy. Like this. Track 3(Love) A bit rockier Track 4(Love) Not sure if that's just someone breathing, a sample of a dog barking or some sort of instrument, but it adds a lot to this track and it's all through it. The digital piano really adds something too. Track 5(Love) Kind of reminds me of Squeeze in parts Track 6(Hate) Odd kind of phasing in this track. Not sure I like it.No, I don't. Track 7(Love) Very seventies Bowie on this Track 8(Hate) Too stripped down. The ABBA piano riff is interesting Track 9(Love) Yeah this is okay. Interest is beginning to wane a little though... Track 10(Hate) Nah, that's just terrible. Track 11(Love) This is better, if a little throwaway Track 12(Love) This, however, is beautiful and a last strong closing effort. End result: A decent enough album but, the closer apart, I couldn't see me being interested or impressed enough to come back for more. So, Love or Hate? Given all that though, I didn't hate it so it's another Love. Chances of a full review: 3/10
