Title: 2
Artiste: The Black Heart Procession
Genre: Indie

Track 1(Love) This is beautifully melancholy, sad piano, morose vocal, the wind howling at the end and the sound of gates swinging (?) is perfect and complements the feel of the song. Great start.
Track 2(Love) Accordion is great in this, real carnival atmosphere; more upbeat and there's a slight aggression in the vocal that reminds me at times of Cave. Love the Waters-style megaphone things they have going near the end
Track 3(Love) There's that megaphone again. Kind of a funeral dirge/slow New Orleans thign about this. Bit repetitive but I really like it.
Track 4(Love) Really like this one. Very Cavesque again. Love the organ.
Track 5(Love) Is that violin? Probably not. Great song though. Something of INXS in here? What's the thing going “Woooo” in the background of the music? bob?
Track 6(Love) Beautiful electric piano, phased vocal. Is that a saw? Glass harp? **** man, that is gorgeous!
Track 7(Love) More lovely piano, this time acoustic with some sort of warbling effect or something in the background giving the song a kind of ominous, threatening feel. Nice trumpet work too. The song has a very Waits vibe. Well, it does.
Track 8(Love) More uptempo, with a more passionate vocal. Bit of a shock really, considering how low-key and gentle the rest of the album has been up to now, but great anyway.
Track 9(Love) Back to the melancholy laidback piano. Still beautiful. Feel he really channels Waters well here.
Track 10(Love) Oh this is much different! Very throaty, very deep, sense of Gabriel and Collins about it. Also an odd feel of 80s new wave...
Track 11(Love) Kind of a reprise of the opener. Love it. The only thing I will say is that the last three minutes of the track are nothing but ambient noise. Nice, but it means the track was overextended. Still, it's a good closer.

End result: I kind of expected to Love this album, given that a) bob has yet to steer me wrong and b) I had heard one track from this band already and really loved it. So I'm not surprised, but happy that both he and I were right.

So, Love or Hate? This one goes down as the first True Love.

Chances of a full review: 9/10

on track 5 that is a Moog ....i thought this may be your first true love in this ....i highly suggest checking out both 3 and Amore del Tropico...the latter is actually a murder mystery opera.....try to figure out who the killer is!

glad you liked it man

Pink is by far the most accessible Boris album....and probably their best....

i think my next choice for you (Mocket) may push your boundaries but i hope you can see that punk music can be fun and danceable and not have people screaming at you

and i think i'd like to push them a little more with a proper Neofolk album

so please add to the list....

Kiss The Anus of a Black Cat - An Interlude to the Outermost

i would just like to point out that this album is easily within my top 5 favorite albums of all time

If? IF??? I'm having a great time here, so as long as people keep giving me recs (sorry WWWP, haven't got to update the list with your latest yet but it will be added) I'll keep giving you my thoughts.

Oh I heard a track from that and it was great. I have this odd thing about not listening to bands whose names I dislike, and this was always one. Glad to see that thinking was in error. I'll add this for sure. I think you have a perfect score so far, you know...
