You guys need to read the "Life on Music Banter" thread. It introduces the unwary and the uninitiated to the teeming life that abounds here in the Bantersphere, and also has some cool pictures! :) |

Title: To pimp a butterfly Artiste: Kendrick Lamar Genre: Hip-hop Love: 1. Intro to “Wesley theory”; sort of seventies soul music 2. The sax on “U” 3. Also the emotion on that track; interesting to hear a rapper sound all whiny and upset Hate: 1. Jazzy piano in “For free” (don't like this track at all) 2. The fact that this album is so ****ing long! 3. That this is so boring 4. Too much repetition: how many ****ing times is he going to be “screaming in the hotel room” and “Conflicted”? 5. A twelve-minute closing track? End result: I'm not sure whether I hate this more than Mirthkon, but I sure hate it. Don't think hip-hop is ever gonna be for me. So, Love or Hate? Another Hate for sure. Chances of a full review: 0/10 |
