Trollheart, I just want to make a correction to the first page. That GY!BE album is called Life Yr. Skinny Fists to Heaven Like Antennas, not Tiny Fists.

It's a movie reference. I'd better not say any more, or this thread will go off the tracks.

How about a prog thrash album? Kicks enough ass that I don't feel like I'm humoring you with a softball metal rec, but enough melody and pseudo-progginess that it might make you forget you're supposed to be a girl.

Anacrusis - Screams and Whispers

3 from me too. We don't count. No date for the prom for us, so we might as well just toss the silver down the well and move in with the chickens.

Something I know you're gonna love TH, but not sure if you've ever heard it (or if it's available anywhere):

Steve Hackett - Spectral Mornings

I said I might have made the odd miscount. Take it to the Supreme Court! Three, you say? I will amend...

Sounds good, though I doubt anything will make me forget I'm supposed to be a girl.

How the heck did I miss you out, my friend? That's just an omission that should be almost punishable by listening to three Merzbow albums in a row. But I hope nobody's that cruel, and you'll accept my apologies.

As for Steve, I heard that when I was about 18; decent album. I haven't heard any others of his though, so if you want to choose another, I'm always game for some solo Genesis goodness!

Some would say that's an everyday thing, what's the big deal? I do that all the time. Then they'll go and sacrifice a cat.

Ok then. Not sure how fond of classical guitar you are, but Steve Hackett - Bay Of Kings is in my top ten albums of all time.

How about Songs: Ohia - Didn't It Rain and Scott Walker - Tilt? Not sure if you've heard either of those before.
