Hmm. Possibly. Aaaaannnyway...
The album list has now been updated. Please, if your album has been "greyed", don't despair. It's only being tabled until I defeat the colossus that is Metal Month III. After that, all will return to normal. If you are looking at one of your albums and thinking "but it's only forty minutes" or "but it has only ten tracks", be aware that either of the two limits being crossed will result in your album being put to one side. I'm sorry if it upsets anyone but I ain't gonna kill myself for you people. Anyone who has had an album tabled may rec a replacement, as long as it falls within the new temporary guidelines. Note: recs are NOT open again; this is ONLY for those who need to replace albums which are now greyed out. If you have had more than one album greyed, you may replace each one. They will be slotted back in where your current "grey" one is and those removed to the bottom of the list, for now. Thank you for your understanding, everyone except jtf.

The Pink Guy is removed because I checked and it's like 37 tracks long, all of which are less than a minute. I just can't see myself getting anything out of it and sitting through that number of tracks to be totally unimpressed is just not my idea of a good time. It just looks terrible and not something I'm likely to have any chance of being into. Am I wrong? How can I judge thirty or forty-minute tracks? Just seems like a waste of time.

ETA: Like everyone else, I object to my album being greyed though. Like, it's 14 songs in 45 minutes, really pretty standard. Whatever, it's your thread so do what you want, I'm just not sure how much sense your rule makes wrt limiting the number of tracks. |

See, I have to write and comment on each track, so the more there are the more comments I have to make. Seems petty, but it can be a lot of work and the more tracks there are the longer it takes me, even if the overall length of the album doesn't seem too much. When I get a chance, I may revisit the actual track numbers, and if I feel, as you point out, that an album should be ok as per length v track numbers then I may very well move it up again. I'll see how it goes. I'm just trying to make sure I don't take on too much again.
