Of course I don't mean Tool are boring, no more than Marillion (shut it Frown!) or Beefheart or Taylor Wotsit are boring. It's all down to what you personally think, and my own impression was that the album failed to hold my interest. Doesn't make it boring, just boring to me. And remember, these are all of course only my personal views on albums and should not stop anyone else from checking out one I give the thumbs down to.

I tried again and just... I'm with TH on this one.
It's not for everyone. Tool fans are one of the greatest oversalesmen in the music world, it's one of the reasons many like myself hesitate to exclaim they like Tool.

I'm sure there is something special about them.
Lots of people I know, who have great taste, like Tool.
Just talking about my personal impressions.

You did a pretty good job on your review imo. The first time I heard Lateralus, it was sort of the same thing. I already knew what to expect though since Lateralus wasn't the first Tool album I ever heard. I think 10,000 Days was actually the first one I heard.

Dammit.
My darkest, most terrible secret is, that I actually care about people's feelings (unless their *******s, then not so much) and it's pretty easy to make me try to patch things up.
