The f*ck is that sh*t? Be gone.
Down with vowels is easy. Down with consonants, not so much. $1 billion dollars to the first person to figure out my post.

Hey, Trolly, could you stick these on the list for when you get back?
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory Opeth - Blackwater Park And if you'll let me have one more: Todd Rundgren - A Wizard, A True Star (Probably more up your alley).

@ Trollheart
Not trying to badger you, but I'm just asking if you saw my PM. You usually see them and respond pretty quickly, so I'm just making sure you at least know about it. Quote:
And he doesn't take any recs, even ones for when he next opens the floodgates, until he officially does open them. So you're gonna have to wait, and then pick just the one to begin with. Also, I know I've already given you my rec in your thread, so I have to wait again, but I'd just like to ask if you're familiar with Cynic and Edge of Sanity? I'm not the biggest Opeth fan, since I'm dubious on folk, and I see their schtick as kind of a novelty rather than a cohesive sound (although I do love Mikael Akerfeldt's unique death metal vocals), but if you're interested in that kind of thing, then you would probably want to check out those two bands. Cynic pretty much were the first to combine death metal and off-the-wall, melodic passages seemingly at random, though they did so with jazz/jazz fuzion (don't know much about those, so I'm going from second hand descriptions rather than my own analysis). Their DM sound is much more old school than more modern DM bands, and they only had the one album back in the day, which is the only one to sound like that, but it's a legendary album that's either on my prog metal list or my avant garde metal list in my Survivor thread. I'm not as familiar with Edge of Sanity, but Opeth is generally considered to have almost lifted their sound from that band, and they're very highly regarded. From what I've heard, I'd take them over Opeth, but I haven't listened to enough of either of them to make a fair comparison. EoS definitely seem to have a better DM sound at least.

Although recs are not yet open and this thread is on hiatus at the moment, considering your reputation so soon in the forum and your reaction to those who disagree with you, I will only agree to review this under certain conditions:
1. You accept my reception of it, even if it does not tally in any way with yours and you refrain from childish insults, namecalling or comments on my lack of musical experience 2. You understand you are going in a queue, and that when the thread reopens you have to wait your turn 3. You engage in mature discussion in this thread, and elsewhere. I have no interest in reviewing something for someone with the mental attitude of a six-year-old, no offence. 4. You come back after your ban. No point in reviewing an album if you're not going to be here to hear it. Provided you can abide by these simple rules, I'll add it WHEN RECS REOPEN. No recs are supposed to be posted until then, but as you're new I'll let it slide, assuming you come back.

You need to further explain the recommendation rules, because I was completely in the dark about the things Batty explained to me earlier in the page. Also, you never technically closed recommendations, but just took a hiatus from reviewing. You gotta make these things clear for people like me.
