Default An idea: Love or Hate? on the rebound... (Random Reverse Recs)

God I have some strange ideas! But bear with me.
Would anyone be interested in, when they give me a rec, taking one from me? I would intend to do it completely randomly, so that god knows what sort of album you might get, but I would like to see who would be interested. I'd ask for reviews then to be written in the same format I write them, not necessarily in order but if you take a random rec I would expect you not to just dismiss it out of hand and to approach it with the same open mind I've tried to have here. Obviously, they need to be albums you don't know, so if I gave you one you were familiar with I would have to "spin again" as it were.

It might just give you guys an idea of how difficult this can be, and also give me a chance to force my music tastes on you! Also, it could be a case of stopping multiple recs from certain members, if they thought they were going to be given a pile of albums in return...

If I did this, would you think a new thread should be created or should I just make it part of this? Is anyone interested/violently opposed/completely apathetic about it?

Stop being such a hissy fit every time someone doesn't adhere to your inane rules. It'll make your input so much more fun for us newbies.

What the fook are you talking about? I'm not having a fit, I'm asking if anyone would be interested in a turnaround. Stop smoking so much weed man.

Oh, and there's nothing inane about my rules. You try doing something like this and then see how you get without setting some boundaries.

He just wishes he could steal my reccing rules, but he knows everyone will call him out on it.

By the way, I don't want your rules applied to me, as I already have my own thread for that. Really I think the idea is silly for anyone. You'll just end up killing this thread. Maybe start a new one if you want to try it out. Call it Give and Take or something like that.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

In this thread alone, TH has contributed more to MB than most of us ever will. I don't see why he shouldn't captain his own ship.

So you are for censorship? It's a public forum. We're all entitled to our opinions and typing them down. If we get out of bounds the mods will deal will it.

You start a thread, be prepared to deal with whatever unfolds. That's how it works - on the INTERNET.

Trying to dictate otherwise comes off as pretentious and dickish.

Again, deal with it.
