Your breaking my heart. In all seriousness that album has some of my worst singing on it.

Nice choice, I'd like to know what he thinks. That records all around brilliance.

Why does every hipster I know seem to think LCD Soundsystem is great?

I don't know about everything they've done, but This Is Happening rules pretty hard.

Sound of Silver is great, lots of the early stuff is good but the s/t is sort of inconsistent, and This is Happening is quite good, IMO.

Goofle, it's because (not that this is necessarily true for Machine) he makes music that's very accessible but with clear experimental influences, so fans (like me!) get to feel really snooty for liking what is actually pretty poppy music. In addition, he completely wears his influences on his sleeve, so a lot of the appeal is kind of listening for those - not just like "Oh look how many of the bands he mentions in 'Losing My Edge' I know" but also "Hey, did you guys notice that that one LCD Soundsystem song is basically ['Nightclubbing'/'White Light White Heat'/'Here Comes the Warm Jets'] because I totally did". It lets you feel like you're in on the joke. Also people like his lyrics.

I think that's definately part of the appeal. For me I just like the poppiness of it, the experimental parts are I guess just an added bonus.

You and I are clearly different in that regard. At least he didn't seem to sing on your album.

Oh and I'm curious to explore your apparent like for melodic death metal, so I'm throwing Children of Bodom - Hatecrew Deathroll at you.

Yeah. You're not throwing anything at me pal: recs are closed for the foreseeable...

I just saw Goofle give you a rec a few days ago, and you haven't closed them since.
