Forgotten music from your past

Lost gems or turds, post any songs you remember but which until now you've forgotten about. Maybe everyone has. I remember hearing this on the radio and running right out and buying the album (well, not then but as soon as I could). Turns out it was the best track on it, but not a bad album all told.

Don't tell me you love me (Night Ranger)

Heard this one when I was staying over with my mate, woke up and the radio was still on. Strange city, first night, thought what the **** is going on? Took me a long time to track down the single, then the bloody thing went to number one soon after! Great track though.

O Superman (Laurie Anderson)

Sometimes you just know a single is going to be a hit, and you're just dead wrong. Breathe had just had a massive hit with "Hands to Heaven" and this was their followup, and I thought this is going to be huge. I'm still waiting.

Don't tell me lies (Breathe)

Well if we remember them, they aren't really forgotten.

My first girlfriend crush song. She didn't know I existed.

Overhearing my older sister and her friends rocking out.

The Tony Hawk game series for PS2 basically formed my initial taste in music when I was a wee lad. I still jam a lot of these tunes today (Melvins, Ministry, Nebula, Unida, Zeke, FEAR, Clutch, Orange Goblin etc) but some of the cheesier cuts have simply faded into the realm of charming nostalgia (Rancid, The Transplants, Goldfinger, Zebrahead, Bad Religion, The Casualties etc).

Do I have to explain everything? Fine: forgotten until now. Everything is forgotten till you remember it. Happy?

Another one that sticks out for some reason.

I remember jumping on my friend's bed with him when we were five or six years old singing along to this song. Well, not the whole song, we just said bitch whenever he did.

This song was huge when I was 8. I still know every word.

My Dad used to place this all the time. It's actually brilliant.
