Don't we all though? I mean, we can't all be expected to like everything even if we're willing to give what we don't necessarily know, a listen. If he's going to single Chula out, then he may as well single everyone else out since we all do the same exact thing from time to time.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm saying that we shouldn't interpret that line as him being close-minded.

Plus, I'm an older dude. I haven't had my ears to the ground as much as you guys the past couple of decades. I'd wager I'm a hell of a lot open minded than most 55 year old people.

That's not what i'm saying at all. I'm saying that the fact that Chula has stated that he doesn't like certain bands, doesn't mean he's close minded. I could list off probably 50 artists right now that I don't like simply because they aren't something I would normally listen to. Does that make me close minded too?

Also it might be worth noting that I've only been alive for a couple decades :P

I usually give something 30 seconds to a few minutes before I decide whether it's up my alley or not. I'm not going to listen to hours of something that I don't want to listen to, to eventually find out if I end up liking it or not, especially if I already know that it's something I don't like. There's far too much music out there to focus on the things that I don't like.
