Yeah. You plugged with Pet Sounds, Violet and I, for awhile. But then you left to go ride your bike while drunk, to try and find some cigarettes. How did that go, by the way?

Went good. I'm still alive, not in jail, and I have cancer sticks. Did I leave plug on, BTW? I feel like I did.

Let's try something. How about everyone participating in this discussion list 5 genres you generally dislike and why.

2. Noise - Well, it's mostly just noise, which I don't find musically pleasing.

3. Drone - Not enough harmonic variation. Too monotone most of the time.
Harmonics are overrated. It sounds like you've read the definitions of these genres without listening to any of the music, since most drone music is constantly changing.

Boo hoo, so it's raw and avoids over-production wankery. Grab some lube and deal with it. Not everyone has the money to fine tune and remaster all of their songs every year like Led Zeppelin.

There's so much shitty prog out there that I somewhat avoid the genre as a whole now. I still enjoy some progressive rock, but it's usually when it's actually progressing.

I don't know if I would call Boris' Flood album drone METAL -- at least not parts of it -- but if this doesn't make you reconsider what drone can be, then...

Nope, didn't dig that.

(listening to The Chasm at the moment though)

I just started listening to this song and am only ten minutes in. You did not listen to the entire thing.
