I have to say it, but I really wished the OP used Last.FM. It would be much better to compare and contrast in a nutshell.

I'll add my two cents anyways, cause I went out of my way to read through the list.
The only band that stands out to me is Nightwish, no other bands on the list similar to it, so I guess we have very low compatibility.

I'm into this sort of thing myself, and I've had lists for all manner of subjects - bands, albums, tracks, many more. I always put mine in order of my favourites though, otherwise it's just an A-Z list with little substance.
Perhaps it's usual for somebody to open a thread in the journals section for personal faves, etc?
