I tinkered with a few notes here and there, tried tuning it to what I thought sounded good, and after a few weeks of screwing around, finally hit on something tangible. I could play the bass notes to Iron Man on the low E string, so why not tune the guitar to an open E? Thats exactly what I did. Now I could play the chords to Iron Man with one finger stretched across the fretboard. Just the first verse, after that I was lost.
