It's always so hard for me to pick favorites with Kyuss but this is really accurate. It's a shame how underrated ...And the Circus Leaves Town is, for how great an album it is. Wretch too, but it's always tough listening to the production on that.

Listened to their song "Green Machine", I can dig it. Gonna give an album of theirs a listen tomorrow. Last edited by Ronny Lee; 02-09-2016 at 08:54 PM. |

Give their latter three albums a spin, and their demo (not Sons of Kyuss, there's another one out there). I would kill to experience Kyuss for the first time again. Amazing.

There are about ten to fifteen other songs which drift in and out of my top five at any given time for each of these bands, but here're the ones I'm going with for now.
Blind Guardian "The Quest for Tanelorn" "Sacred Mind" "And Then There Was Silence" "The Curse of Feanor" "Ride into Obsession" Sigh "Slaughtergarden Suite" "Musica in Tempora Belli" "A Messenger from Tomorrow" "12 Souls" "Somniphobia" |

I see stoner rock as being the next/final stage of pure, non-pansy alternative rock, along with Corrosion of Conformity and Monster Magnet's Dopes to infinity, among others. Stoner rock is rock for non-hipsters. (missing COC's classic line-up livr will be one of my greatest regrets, unless God sees fit to take pity on me and bring them back around to my neck of the woods) [QUOTE=mythsofmetal;1679090]There are about ten to fifteen other songs which drift in and out of my top five at any given time for each of these bands, but here're the ones I'm going with for now.
