You’re ahead of me, dreamer. I like to think I know a lot about country music, yet I'm stuck in '60s and '70s classic country mode and have never even listened to Steve Earle.

Trollheart, I was actually going to post a Steve Earle song, but wasn't sure of a suitable match for it. I don't know a lot of country music, but have always liked Steve Earle, especially his Guitar Town album, which I would say is great from start to finish, I'm not familiar with his other albums though.

Yeah, sorry for being a bit harsh but y'know, those songs are not what I'd call Country. You're right that Guitar Town is a stupendous album, but I kind of like El Corazon and Transcendental Blues better.

, but because I'm going to be getting busier with other things soon and won't be checking in enough to know when it's my turn. Also, I don't know enough country songs to keep up for long anyway. I like to listen to some once in a while, but it's not something I'd listen to enough to want to spend extra time searching out. I'm going to check in and vote when I can, and maybe I'll end up finding a few more songs that I like too.

No problem. You shall be removed from time, it shall be as if you never existed ... sorry, channelling my inner Orwell there! Sure no hassle, I'll remove your name. By the way, if you do listen to Copperhead be aware the first side is superb but the second ... not quite. Still a brilliant album but it lets you down on the flipside unfortunately. The hard way is another great one of his.

Thank you for posting those Steve Earle songs, TH. I especially like “The Other Side of Town” for its authentic sound, as I’m generally stuck in the good old days (when times were bad, as Dolly would say

). He’s got a really good band too. Thanks to you and dreamer for turning my attention to him.
