I like Mott the Hoople's version too, and I think it's a great driving song, but I also think that Bad Company's version is just a bit sexier. Basically, Mott the Hoople is for when you're in the front of the car, and Bad Company is for when you're in the back.

Yes! T-Rex were fantastic, and their songs have really held up well over the years. In regards to other Glam bands, I've also always had a thing for The Sweet. Though I suppose they weren't quite as sexual and raw as T-Rex, The Sweet always had a kind of fun and innocent romantic feeling to their songs.
