That was supposed to send you running for the hills. Huh. Well, as long as you're willing to abuse yourself...

Second album, and often considered their masterpiece.

Third album, and more accessible than their earlier stuff.

A live song off the third album, just in case you think "more accessible" means less terrifying. The vocalist puts on quite possibly the most intense anti-performance I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure he just whips himself into an emotionally and physically self-destructive frenzy. No way it's healthy.

The Batlord has probably put the most my way in metal bands that I somehow never ever got around to listening to before or other metal bands that I kind of dismissed as not being that great, but on his comments have listened to again and realize just how good they really are.

It's still interesting.

Disappointing. Dig into them a bit more.

Let's see...one of the best was Swirlies, but I can't remember who was talking about them when I noticed.

I can't remember any others off the top of my head, but one recent I've enjoyed is La Femme.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Probably my favourite shoegaze band, I picked them up here as well. It was either Alex or Engine who was talking about them when I took notice.

Plugging with a drunk Batlord yesterday was interesting, but I'd like to mention three things in particular.

I've decided I don't need to hear any more grindcore. For a long time.
I discovered The Hives, and I'm enjoying them.
Batty promised me he'd listen to The Cars' debut album, saying, "If it's catchy as **** I'll probably love it."

Well I'd think that would go without saying
